If you've been around for a while, it's likely that you've heard us mention our team of fit testers and our fit testing process. They're integral to what we do here at Alpine Parrot! As such, we wanted to make sure we actually explained the importance of this process and the people who help us do it, and invite you along, too!

Simply put, in order to make clothing that provides the very best fit possible, we put them on as many people as possible. Alpine Parrot Founder and CEO, Raquel, has a background in engineering, and she brings the same iterative processes to creating our products as she did to her previous career in robotics and software. Learn all about how we fit test during the pandemic, here!

We truly believe that clothes are meant to fit us, not the other way around. And to do that, we believe that clothes need to be designed for real bodies based on research—not just made larger based on an algorithm. Through our fit testing process thus far we've been able to make the Ponderosa Pants in two different fit styles, catering to the two most common fits that have surfaced during our research. While it by no means covers every shape that our bodies come in, it has made a difference in the experience for those who wear them!

Now, we are working to increase our size range from 14-24, to 14-30. To accomplish this effectively we need your help: we're calling for more fit testers who are in the size 26-30 range bottoms and 4X-5X tops so we can make sure our new sizes are the best they can be, too.

Our next fit testing event is in Seattle, WA, on the evening of July 31, 2022. If you or a friend fall into that size range, we would love to have you join us! Please learn more and register for the event, here
